Dr. Neda Shamie is a cataract,corneal surgeon and partner in Los Angeles. She previously was the Medical Director of the Doheny Eye Institute in Beverly Hills and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the USC Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Shamie brings a wealth of experience to our clinic, having successfully led an independent ophthalmic practice for over a decade. Prior to joining us, Dr. Shamie held the esteemed position of Director of Ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. Widely recognized for their expertise in advanced vision correction, Dr. Shamie offers a comprehensive range of procedures, including state-of-the-art laser cataract surgery, cutting-edge LASIK and PRK techniques, implantable collamer lenses (ICL), refractive lens exchange (RLE), and advanced corneal transplant procedures such as DSAEK and DMEK. Dr. Shamie is also actively involved in the advancement of the field, having contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications on cataract surgery and corneal disorders, authored several chapters in ophthalmology textbooks, and frequently presents their expertise at national and international conferences.
Dr. Shamie graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with Honors from UCLA, with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics.
